Adem\u00e1s, la Regi\u00f3n entregar\u00e1 su primer aporte econ\u00f3mico adquiriendo las 400 hect\u00e1reas para el terminal a\u00e9reo con una inversi\u00f3n de 71 millones de d\u00f3lares.<br \/>\nLa autoridad aclar\u00f3 sin embargo, que primero se debe sanear el terreno en 90 d\u00edas. Luego se entregar\u00e1 a t\u00edtulo gratuito al Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones, para que encargue la licitaci\u00f3n de la megaobra a trav\u00e9s de Proinversi\u00f3n<br \/>\nAcurio sostuvo que el presidente Ollanta Humala prometi\u00f3 iniciar las obras a partir de junio del 2013.
